Congratulations, and how interesting!
I look forward to seeing the pictures. Perhaps you have a spontaneous mutation and something altogether new!

definately not injuries or blood got another quick glimpse think I saw cheek flashes so I'm guessing its now ticking as apposed to black spots, its a very pale creamy colour with very dark ticking it can't be yellow as neither parent is I keep thinking I must be seeing things but it is definately different, could it be sepia?

Sure the golden isnt a tort pretending? does happen i had a dove that only developed a tiny patch on her tummy that wasnt even noticeable till she was nearly 5 month old! i wouldnt have thought a champ cream would be a ghost cream but i guess its possible (if not very plausible!)
If its silver grey in the mix one of the parents again would have to be (i guess thats what you mean by sepia, heterozygous silver grey)!! Unless its another shared recessive and something like dark grey in there? Looks like you will have to look further back in the pedigrees, see what else could possibility be lurking on either side... or hidden in one!
EDIT: just thought.... could the golden be golden umbrous? so its a mink or sable? or is there really quite distinct flashes?
Thats about all i can think of though, for something to have a pale undercoat is usually means yellow or silver grey is in play...which would mean thats in one of the parents!
That or we are really trying to pin down colours too early and in a few days time it will look totally different again :p

it may well be that the colour hasn't developed as well as the others yet, so I will leave the babies now and check in a few days, it will probably turn out to be a really bad golden

mum definately not tort or umbrous
Bracken is satin golden,
parents are satin BEC (dad) x cinnamon (mum),
grandparents are cinny x cinny and are golden x golden (both carrying cream)
Pr Caspian is from pure cream lines

right I have managed a couple of pics of odd baby not great as taken with a zoom lense when mum was having porridge and nest is very deep.
quick question if mum carries cream and dad is cream wouldnt the cream then mask the yellow (if it is yellow) and give you only ghost yellows and not this really darkly marked baby, babies ears are not black they are light grey at the mo,
first pic is odd pup next to golden

babies head with odd broken cheek flashes

this pup is not a runt it is nice and chunky all other pups are true to what we were expecting REC, cinnamon, golden, BEC

any ideas? as soon as is possible I will try and get a picture but nest is really deep
