Teresa's Mad About Hamsters Blog

Well, not quite, but having had very little hamster time over christmas and new year due to having a flu bug, I really felt hamster deprived (I have just been feeding/watering the little beasties but no cuddles in case they caught my bug). So today, I took a look at the hamstery and decided that I really needed to have a reorganisation. So off to the DIY store and back home with a new table and shelf unit to free up space and give more storage.
I am quite pleased with the results and it really appears that I have more space! I must take some photos.

This weekend I have also split my latest winter white litter boys from Mum, Frost. The 2 girls are still in with Mum but the boys have happily moved into their new place and are wizzing around making sure they have everything arranged to their satisfaction. Talking of this litter, it was so sad that their Dad, Jake was found passed away peacefully in his nest tonight. He was a lovely little boy, with a great nature, and will be very missed here.

Tonight the hamsters all enjoyed spaghetti pouching, one of their favourite pastimes! The funniest thing was watching two of Beurre's babies (Manie and Noisette) both trying pouching the same strand of spaghetti and having a tug of war with it!

Another of my girls, Mad About's Oh Yum! was mated to Lilliput's Vendigum, a recent addition to the Mad About Hamsters. Hopefully babies will be due on 16th January, keep fingers crossed!
