Thank you for taking time to visit our website. Mad About Hamsters is run by Teresa and Arti.We have been breeding syrian hamsters since 2007 and dwarf hamsters since 2010 and are based in the North East Lincolnshire area of the United Kingdom.

This website has been set up to share our interest and love of hamsters with like minded people. On this website you can find information about the Mad About Hamsters hamstery, a prefix holder in the National Hamster Council (NHC) as well as details about our hamsters and new litters.

You can also join our website and become a part of the ever growing community of hamster enthusiasts where you can ask for advice and support as well as share your own experiences and knowledge. We welcome people of all backgrounds, from newcomers looking to own their first hamster as a pet, through to to established champion winning breeders. There is always something new to learn about our little furry friends, and no such thing as a silly question.

So why not join up and become Mad About Hamsters?

Arti and I would like to wish all Mad About members, and site visitors, a happy peaceful and prosperous 2011.

Thank you for all of your contributions to the site over the past year, and I hope that you continue to enjoy visiting and using the site as it continues to grow. As most of you know, the site has recently gone through some huge changes, and we can all expect more changes and improvements to come within the next 12 months.

So what are our New Year Resolutions?

Well, on the hamster front, I aim to concentrate on caring and improving my lovely pets and to hopefully do well showing with some of them. I plan to continue working with cream based and dark grey colours, and so I guess my resolution is to stay strong, and not get distracted by all the other beautiful colours of hamsters our members show us!

Arti's resolution is to finally finish the long list of 'to dos' that he still has for coding the site. This doesn't sound too bad, but of course I keep adding more to this list! He also wants to continue his biking and to put some serious miles in on his bike.

We also have a joint resolution this year! We are determined that this year, after much procrastinating, will see us finally become Mr and Mrs Mad About! So a wedding is very much in the planning for us!

Best wishes to all - and from both of us...

    A Very Happy 2011!

They said it would never happen - well, Teresa said it would never happen after 2 years of promises from me! But at long last here it is, the all new Mad About Hamsters website.

I intend to start up a Mad About Hamsters blog in the coming days containing details about the sites new features, future developments, and general blathering about life.

In the meantime, for general help read the Frequently Asked Questions section. Or alternatively just explore the site and have a play – I think this option is the most fun!

And if you are a first time visitor to Mad About Hamsters, why not join up and take advantage of the free membership features and become involved in the warm community that is Mad About Hamsters.
