Today the pups are handled for the first time as I clean the cage. I move Mum first and let her have a quick run around the room in her exercise ball. I then rub my hands thoroughly in the dirty wood shavings before lifting each pup out and placing it in a carry case filled with fresh sawdust.
All of the pups appear healthy and are thriving. They have so much energy and are definitely getting the benefit from only sharing Mum’s milk with two other pups. They are continuing to enjoy eating solid food and today I placed some boiled egg in the cage for them.
