Whilst feeding Princess today she crawled into my hands and literally clawed her way up my arm to come for a cuddle.
We kept it very brief and encouraged her to return to her babies, which she did not appear in the least bit inclined to do! She was jumping around the side of the cage trying to attract our attention. When she heard the pups squeaking though she seemed to heave a heavy sigh and returned to them.
Unlike Bramble, our first Mum, Princess does not seem at all interested in food at the moment, and of course she needs to keep her strength up for the growing pups. Because of this we have ensured that she has lots of tasty and healthy treats in her cage. Today we tempted her with a medley of Tofu, a small strawberry, some fresh carrot and blueberries. Of course she still had her bowl of regular food in her cage.
