As they have got bigger, Bramble has taken to feeding the pups by making her body a ‘bridge’ over the pups to ensure they can reach her teats for feeding. When she can manage to lay on her side and get them all feeding she can have a little rest and I love the photo of her doing this. It doesn’t last too long though as the pups are restless and change positions regularly.
Today, one of the hamsters managed to move from the nest but was hauled back and unceremoniously thrown back into the nest by Bramble. It was lovely to see that already the pups are getting more inquisitive and interested in the world about them even though their eyes are still closed.
